Mississippi RC&D Development Areas - NRCS
Seven RC&D Areas administer the United States Department of
Agriculture's Resource Conservation and Development (RC&D) Program throughout
Mississippi. Each RC&D Area is led by a citizens group called a council,
representing organizations which include county governments, soil and water
conservation districts, towns, local organizations, state and federal agencies.
These local leaders focus on the environmental, economic and social needs of
their area by assisting sponsors with projects to enhance the quality of life.
To learn more about the Resource Conservation and
Development Program and the people involved, check out the National RC&D Page or
