NRCS in Mississippi Partners with Audubon in Taking the Pledge

Submitted by: Jeannine May, Public Affairs Specialist, Jackson, Mississippi

The Mississippi Public Affairs Staff partnered with a local Audubon chapter and invited the public to "Take the Pledge" as part of the new Audubon/NRCS Campaign.

The two partners jointly set up exhibits in October at the Mississippi State Fair in Jackson and Crystal Springs at the Extension Service Fall Vegetable and Flower Field Day.  The state fair and the fall field day were attended by more than 648,000 visitors--that's correct, a record number for both annual events.
